Laura is partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, a Canadian law firm. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration, and she is the Vancouver office chair of Women@Blakes, an initiative focused on creating business development and leadership opportunities for women lawyers and clients. Laura is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a director of the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre.

Laura is passionate about fostering a vibrant local arts community and previously served as Chair of the board of Touchstone Theatre Society. She studied dance for over 15 years and credits dance with helping her to develop discipline and resilience. Laura has been a regular audience member at Ballet BC performances since returning to Vancouver to practice law and is consistently inspired by the company’s artistic vision. She is thrilled to be able to support Ballet BC in its continued evolution.
