Nathaniel Belnavis-Wright was born in Newmarket, Ontario and grew up training at CB Dance Academy in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He then moved to Miami, Florida to continue his training at Stars Dance Company. Soon after, he was accepted to the Arts Umbrella Pre-Grad program and then accepted to the Arts Umbrella Dance Post Secondary Professional training program.

While at Arts Umbrella, Nathaniel has had the opportunity to perform works by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Marco Goecke, Crystal Pite, Fernando Magadan, and others.

Nathaniel is interested in all paths of art and creative freedom. “It’s more than just the form of movement. I try to see the art in everything I am surrounded by.”
