Season two of the Dance Deck is back with more to see than ever before. This year Sylvain Senez and Alexis Fletcher are hosting two weekends of shows at their beautiful home, Casa Om. The August performances will feature Ballet BC dancers Andrew Bartee, Livona Ellis, and Kirsten Wicklund, who will dance alongside some amazing artists who have worked closely with Ballet BC: Fernando Hernando Magadan, Katherine Cowie, Bruce McCormick, Jill Way, Maggie Forgeron, and Odette Slater will all be involved in bringing this wonderful evening of dance to life.
Here is a message from Alexis and Sylvain explaining their brilliant vision and how you can go about getting tickets:
We are Alexis and Sylvain and our house, called “Casa Om,” has always been a place of regeneration and creativity. With this in mind we have created an intimate, outdoor performance space in our backyard where artists will have the chance to share their work at a grassroots level. As presenters we strive to give artists a platform where they have the freedom to experiment and share work that is deeply meaningful to them, and we feel passionate about creating an alternative and unique environment from which to share this art with our community.
Our sold-out debut show was held in July 2015 and was met with heartfelt enthusiasm by all involved. This season, we are delighted to announce that we will present two exciting and ambitious new programs, each with a uniquely different lineup of established professional artists.
We can only accommodate a small audience (60-70 seats per performance), and our mandate is to have all the proceeds go directly back to the artists involved. To read more about these events and to purchase your tickets (NO TICKETS SOLD AT THE DOOR):
