44 DAILY LIFE
Each day will start with a morning technique class taught by a Ballet BC artistic team member, ensuring participants are warm and ready for the day that awaits. After a short break, participants will work on company repertoire. The repertoire will be worked on for the duration of the intensive, giving participants the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the unique choreographic languages and style of the works. After a lunch break and the opportunity to eat, rest, and discover some of Granville Island’s offerings, the afternoon will be spent within the creative process itself as participants dive into a new creation, giving them the opportunity to further develop their artistry and build connections with the choreographers themselves. Throughout the intensive there will also be the opportunity to connect with the dancers of the company to learn more about the dance industry through lunchtime talks, covering topics from auditioning, company life, career management and more.
During the program, there will be one planned activity so participants can connect outside of a studio setting while also getting to know the city of Vancouver. The intensive will conclude with a studio showing, followed by a farewell party.
