Full-Time Artists

Ballet BC is seeking experienced female and male dancers interested in a diverse collaborative environment that focuses on the innovation and creation of contemporary dance. The artist should display strong classical training, have experience in contemporary dance and a passion for the creative process.

Emerging Artist Positions

Ballet BC is looking for talented, female and male graduates who have completed a professional training program to join the Ballet BC Emerging Artist Program. The program will take place during the company season (summer 2019 to summer 2020) and will provide Emerging Artists with a weekly honorarium.

Audition Requirements:

The audition will consist of ballet class and learning of company repertoire. Dancers should bring their CV and two photos (one headshot and one full-body, marked with dancer’s name), and audition fee in cash. Women, please bring pointe shoes.

Mandatory pre-registration available online; this is not for pre-screening.

(between Sixth and Seventh Avenues)

Registration begins at 9:00am – please be prepared to remain at the studio as some applicants may be called back throughout the day.

Cost: $20 (USD) Cash only; exact change.

Private Auditions in Vancouver

All private auditions in Vancouver are by appointment only. Please email a CV, photos, and video links to auditions (at)

CV: Including training, performance experience, full name, email address, phone number, and citizenship.

Photos: One head shot and one full-body dance photo.

Video: Link to high-quality stage or studio video, no more than 10 minutes in length, that displays a range of repertoire in contemporary ballet. Women should include use of pointe work.

We welcome and encourage dancers from across Canada.

Auditions take place at Scotiabank Dance Centre, 677 Davie Street.
