Director Don Nicholson

Don is a partner with Grant Thornton LLP specializing in providing strategic business and tax advice to privately owned family businesses and entrepreneurs. Don has 15 years of experience advising private business owners on business strategy, tax planning, and accounting matters. In addition to his training as a Chartered Accountant (CA), he is a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA). As an FEA, Don regularly counsels business families on matters of communication, succession, governance and conflict resolution. Don is an active volunteer in the Tri-Cities where his family lives, and also serves on the Board of the BC Centre for Ability.

As a spouse of a retired professional ballet dancer, a father to an aspiring ballerina and a longtime admirer of the arts, Don is regularly inspired by the passion, creativity and athleticism of the dance community. He is excited to become a board member of Ballet BC and to support our artists in the pursuit of their vision and artistic success.
