Choreographic Workshop with Company 605!

Each season, Ballet BC offers workshops to our local dance community – focusing on training and development opportunities for the professional dance artist. Hosted by international artists from across Canada and the world, these choreographic workshops explore diverse perspectives and approaches to the creative process, such as learning repertoire and training for contemporary dance.

Learn repertoire and explore the creative process at Ballet BC with Company 605’s co-artistic directors Lisa Gelley and Josh Martin. They will be teaching excerpts from “Vital Few” and their work in Program 2.

Company 605 is a Vancouver-based company, passionate about producing new dance through shared creative processes. As co-artistic directors, dancers and creators, Lisa Gelley and Josh Martin bring with them a new and modern approach to movement. The company focuses on urban and contemporary forms, placing emphasis on movement invention and physically demanding work. This commission will mark their first collaboration with a ballet company.
