Ballet BC in-person auditions are by invite only.

Auditions for the 2026/27 season will be held at the following times and locations. More details will be provided to successful applicants.

December 7, 2025: New York City, NY, USA

December 14, 2025: Vancouver, BC, Canada

February 1, 2026: Germany (location TBC)

Who We're Looking For

Full-Time Artists

We are seeking experienced dancers who are passionate about performing in a collaborative dance environment. Candidates should have both classical and contemporary training.

  • Contract: Full-time, 52-week, 31.25 hours per week, with a minimum of four weeks of paid vacation.
  • Salary: Starting at CAD $868 per week, increasing based on professional experience.

Emerging Artists

We welcome dancers who have recently completed—or are in the process of completing—a professional training program. This program is ideal for those who have not worked for a professional company (unless as an apprentice).

  • Contract: Full season contract, 31.25 hours per week
  • Salary: Starting at CAD $655 per week

Benefits & Support

At Ballet BC, we care for our artists’ well-being and professional growth. All artists are covered by the Government of British Columbia’s Medical Services Plan (MSP) and WorkSafe BC.

We offer:

  • A comprehensive benefits plan starting from day one, including access to Extended Health services such as: Physiotherapy, Massage, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Counselling, Naturopathy, and Dental, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability.
  • 10 paid sick days per year.
  • Company classes included in paid weekly hours.
  • Per diem payments while touring.

Please note: Ballet BC does not match pension plans.
