Adult Classes

Ballet BC’s adult ballet class series are offered both in-person and online three times per year, led by company alumni or guest teachers. Classes are an introduction to ballet and an opportunity for those with prior experience to improve their technique. Each class begins with a ballet barre and concludes with centre exercises and stretching.

Registrations for our 2022 Spring Adult Ballet classes are now closed. Stay tuned for more details on our next class.

Artists in Residence

Ballet BC’s Artists in Residence (AIR) aims to help nurture former and existing company members with professional development opportunities in the fields of choreography, artistic leadership, rehearsal directing and teaching. As well, the AIRs interact with the artists and staff of Ballet BC through the sharing of their creative processes and by involving the company in showings, artist talks and information about their upcoming shows. The presence and expertise of the AIRs are valued at the company as we create a collaborative environment for dialogue, exchange and feedback of creative ideas to better understand the future of dance and the role of the artist in society today.

For all activities listed on this page, Ballet BC acknowledges the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia for Ballet BC’s Outreach and Education Program.
