We’re thrilled to announce our full-time Company and Emerging Artists for the upcoming 2025/26 season!
Returning Company Artists include Luca Afflitto, Sidney Chuckas, Emanuel Dostine, Michael Garcia, Orlando Harbutt, Eduardo Jiménez Cabrera, Kiana Jung, Pei Lun Lai, Benjamin Peralta, Vivian Ruiz, Kaylin Sturtevant and Jacalyn Tatro.
They are joined by new Company Artist Kylie Miller, as well as Joziah German, Kelsey Lewis and Imani Frazier, who were previously Emerging Artists with the company. Kylie Miller, a Vancouver local, trained with Modus Operandi Contemporary Dance Program before joining the professional company. She went on to dance with Company 605, and Ne. Sans Opera and Dance before joining the ensemble of Batsheva Dance Company in 2022.
Emma Kuusela and Nathan Bear return as Emerging Artists, joined by Kailey Worontsoff and Stan Tonin—both new to Ballet BC. Stan, a graduate of Arts Umbrella Dance, was a dancer with Ballet BC Annex in the 2024/25 season, performing works by Medhi Walerski, Micaela Taylor and Zachary Seto across BC. Kailey Worontsoff, a YoungArts Silver Award recipient in contemporary dance and a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts, is in her final year at New York’s Juilliard School. She has previously performed works by Medhi Walerski, Luca Tessarini, Crystal Pite and William Forsythe.
Ballet BC Annex will continue into the 2025/26 season with eight new pre-professional dancers training with Vancouver’s Arts Umbrella Dance and Modus Operandi. Ry Jackson, Ekaterina Kuzovkina, Rianna Logan, Rachel Lui, Amelie McDonald, Ainsley Nivens, Louis Pineau and Jada Tang will perform brand new creations by choreographers Alexis Fletcher and Vanessa Goodman in theatres and schools in the Lower Mainland and across the province.
Artists-in-Residence Dancers of Damelahamid and Raven Spirit Dance will return for a second season, continuing Ballet BC’s longstanding collaboration with BC-based Indigenous dance artists Margaret Grenier and Starr Muranko.
