New faces
Four talented Emerging Artists and one Guest Artist join Ballet BC for the 2026/27 season.
Kaitlin Cheung, originally from Vancouver, trained with Modus Operandi before joining Ballet BC Annex in the 2024/25 season. Travon Carter, originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, graduated from the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance with a BFA in Dance in 2026. Jayda Zhu, also from Vancouver, trained with Arts Umbrella and performed in BOLERO X with Ballet BC during the 2025/26 season. Marcos Marqueta is from Barcelona, Spain, and trained with IEA Oriol Martorell in Barcelona the European School of Ballet in Amsterdam before beginning his professional career with Opera Wroclawska in 2025.
Julian Hunt, from Terrace, BC, trained with Modus Operandi before professional experience with Kidd Pivot, Out Innerspace, Ballet Edmonton, and Ballet Vancouver, and joins us as a guest Company Artist for our November 2026 program.

Eighteen brilliant dancers are returning to the Ballet BC stage for its 40th anniversary season.
Luca Afflitto, Sidney Chuckas, Emanuel Dostine, Imani Frazier, Michael Garcia, Joziah German, Orlando Harbutt, Eduardo Jiménez Cabrera, Kiana Jung, Kelsey Lewis, Pei Lun Lai, Kylie Miller, Benjamin Peralta, Vivian Ruiz, Kaylin Sturtevant, and Jacalyn Tatro are back as full-time Company Artists, and Stan Tonin and Kailey Worontsoff return as Emerging Artists.

Ballet BC Annex
Introducing the eight dancers of 2026/27 Ballet BC Annex, our junior company comprised of dancers training with Vancouver’s Arts Umbrella and Modus Operandi.
Madalyn Sawa, Aya Sato, Lilliana Eneliko, Shea Bridgen, Taylor Menzies, Airi Takenouchi, Jessie Sijie Zhang, and Amillya Beech form a dynamic all-women ensemble bringing works by Michael Garcia, Cameron Fraser-Monroe, and Out Innerspace to communities across BC this fall.
